It is our goal to bring people to Havre de Grace to embrace the arts, the people, the scenery, the restaurants, the life. The Artists’ Emporium is not only an art gallery, but a valuable part of the Havre de Grace community. At any First Friday during the spring and summer, Artists’ Emporium can be found participating in the festivities.
We offer studio space for artists and residents, allowing artists an artistic home in which to hone their craft. Additionally, day-long workshops are frequently held in accordance with occasional evening workshops. Furthermore, Artists’ Emporium is the only gallery in the region to offer figure studies (i.e. our Open Studio on Sunday mornings).
A dance/theatre group called Rogue Swans is utilizing our studio space in the evenings to rehearse for shows at the Opera House. This follows our history of holding dance classes in the gallery space. These are but a few of several examples of the gallery’s community involvement, that will only continue to grow.
